Concert Details: Join the Callaway Chamber Players for an unforgettable evening of
music showcasing the brilliance of both winds and piano. From the elegance of Mozart
and Beethoven’s iconic Piano Quintets to the lively rhythms of Renaissance dances,
and the sultry tango of Piazzolla’s Oblivion, this recital celebrates a stunning range of
musical styles. Performed by our dynamic ensemble of primarily wind players, this
concert will take the audience on a journey into the rich colors and vibrant energy of
these unique instruments.
Performer Bio: Founded in 2022, The Callaway Chamber Players is a dynamic and visionary ensemble founded
in Columbus, Georgia. The members of the ensemble include Luis Miguel De León on oboe,
Megan Castaneda on clarinet, Ryan Dresen on horn, Erik López Reyes on bassoon and Maria
Parrini on piano. This innovative group has quickly made a name for itself through its unique
approach to chamber music, striving to explore how music can transform both spaces and
audiences. With a commitment to blending high-quality performances with enriching
educational experiences, the ensemble has rapidly established a distinguished presence both
nationally and internationally. Its members hail from the United States, Mexico and Guatemala.
The Callaway Chamber Players have been celebrated for their engaging recitals across the state
of Georgia, captivating diverse audiences with their creative and thought-provoking
interpretations of the chamber music repertoire. Their international acclaim is evident in their
roles as faculty members at La Festival Musical de Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, where they
contribute to the festival's mission of fostering musical excellence and cultural exchange.
Additionally, they have shared their expertise through masterclasses at La Orquesta Sinfónica
Juvenil Intercultural in Guatemala City, Guatemala, inspiring and mentoring the next
generation of young musicians.
The ensemble’s members are known for their dedication to the art of chamber music, as well as
their passion for music education. This dual focus allows The Callaway Chamber Players to not
only perform but also to engage with communities around the world, bridging gaps between
diverse musical cultures and fostering a deeper appreciation for the art form. Through their
innovative programming and educational initiatives, The Callaway Chamber Players are
